The guys from Process & Engineering @ TUDelft have been so nice to invite me to spend a fab day with them and give a talk about my work on clogging and flowing suspensions.
It was great! I even got an amazing book from which I can really learn something…
I’ll be going to the APS-DFD this year (13th time in a row) in Portland to talk about the same topic featured in my gallery of fluid motion entry.

This year we decided to join forces with our colleagues from the University of Navarra in Spain and submit a joint video about jamming and clogging in hourglasses and in hourglasses-like systems.
The video will be presented formally in the annual APS-DFD in Portland in November, and I hope to have submitted the bloody paper by then!

I’ll be participating in the 11th European Fluid Mechanics Conference (Euromech) organized by the great Jose Gordillo and Guillaume Riboux in Sevilla, from the 12th to the 16th of September 2016.
It’s nice to have a conference back at home!
Participating in the COST Action Meeting in Istanbul 2016, probably talking about clogging and participating on the Annual Training School to talk about 3D PTV methods on my evaporating droplet experiments. I’ll give more details in due time.
It seems a got an ERC Starting Grant! and according to this link , I will take it to the University Twente. I was waiting to have more information before making it public, but the guys from UT News could not wait. Anyway, more details will come.

In the next months we will publish a couple of papers on Evaporating Drops! One involving superhydrophobic substrates and another one on solutal Marangoni flows… I’ll keep it updated!
